나의 그림은 숲길을 걷다 멈춘 자리의 기록이다. 한발 옮기면 새 소리가 들리고 또 한발 옮기면 바람이 쏴 하고 분다. 울창한 숲길을 걷다가 하늘을 올려다보면 이파리 사이를 달려 해가 얼굴을 만진다.
단순하고 조용한 삶을 꿈꾼다. 산에 오르고 바라보고 담아와 그림으로 옮기는 삶. 때가 오면 피었다 때가 되면 지고, 주어진 시간이 다해 소멸하면 그 뿐이다. 무수한 장소와 시간의 갈피에서 내가 멈추어 바라본 것들을 나누며 함께 가벼워질 수 있기를 바라며 그린다. 성실히 꿈꾸다 보면 한 발짝 그리로 나아갈 수 있을 것을 믿는다.
